A great Saturday surprise! “i HEART you” is the name of a very sweet and lovely treasury curated by Smadar Grossman of Smadar's Treasures. I am most honored to have my Woven Heart Necklace included. Thank you, Smadar!
Smadar’s Treasure is so full of beautiful items, it’s hard to choose just one to show you! This necklace is one of my favorites, and I really love the textures and colors she used.

All Jeweled Up was curated by Noahs Ark Collections. Check out her cute shop! She has lots of cool critters, and I found this little owl necklace that I really like!
I have decided to re-enter the blog-world with this newsworthy piece. (About time, huh?!)
Chocolate and Steel is having a give-away and here’s the awesome prize:
The contest ends on Monday, August 31st and the winner will be announced Wednesday, September 2nd. Go check it out, and maybe you’ll sport this little number on your finger!

I couldn’t resist sharing with you this adorable photo of Friday, a young 1/2 quarter-horse, 1/2 paint colt. There are several good things about being back in Texas for a little while, and one of them is spending a little time with good friends and enjoying the things that are important to them.
Friday belongs to my dear friend and pastor, Brandon, and was photographed by his son, Josh. I think Josh captured a lovely moment in a youngster’s life.

Inta of Binkaminka’s Bead Therapy blogged about this Hugh Newman video starring TJ Thyne. It was truly fascinating and touching. It’s a “feel-good” video, and we need more of those! If you need a smile (and we ALL do) PLEASE click here:
Well…don’t dilly dally, go!

I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date… Yes, that’s the story of my life. My Surf and Pearls Necklace was featured in this lovely treasury several days ago. It was curated by Denise of DCH Studio.
I love these tiny original oil ACEOs from her shop!
DCH Studio Go! Look! Enjoy!

Found one! Go over to Hammer-Stitch-Burn and check it out. Paige has been blogging for a month, and just posted her first 5 items in her Etsy shop today. Milestone! So, she’s celebrating, and you NEED to go help her celebrate! Hammer-Stitch-Burn on Etsy has some really cool jewelry, and I’m sure we all need to give her some hearts! Well, I don’t, cause I already did! ;o)

What a lovely surprise I just found! I almost missed this sweet Treasury West with my Surf and Pearls Necklace included.
It was curated by Noah's Ark Collection which happens to be one of my favorite shops! You will always find lots of cute stuff there, and today I couldn’t find just one, so here are two of my favorite items!
This seagull is so cool, maybe I like it because most of the time we live in Key Largo Florida with LOTS of seagulls, which I never tire of!
And, of course, I collect chickens! So these earrings are right up my alley!

I feel like Dorothy, but no ruby slippers. Key Largo may be paradise for some, but I am happy to report “Honey, I’m Home!!”. After a three day trek with my Best Friend, Tessa, Jack the angel-dog, Tessa’s new puppy-Jemima, four finches, and a ton of beads, I am happily home at last, at least for a little while! Texas and our 4.5 green acres truly are my favorite place. My roses and irises are blooming, never-mind the waist high weeds! The damp soil feels good in my hands, even with the sticker in my thumb. :o)

The title is “Time Machine”. Mariya of BeadCatcher had the privilege of naming April’s challenge, as the winner of the January/February challenge. She said of the theme, “…what if you were given a once in a lifetime chance to travel through time and space; to travel into past or future; to travel into a real or imagined world? Where would you go? What would you see there? Just think about it. Take the trip and share it with us in the form of beading art with its unlimited possibilities!”
I challenge YOU to go to the EBW Blog and choose only ONE favorite!! It will be very tough. Voting begins on Thursday, April 9th and ends midnight April 15th.
Gorgeous HUH!? Go check it out!

Today is Worldwide Autism Awareness Day. The month of April is Autism Awareness Month as well.
According to www.autism.com/: Autism is a severe developmental disorder that begins at birth or within the first two-and-a-half years of life. Most autistic children are perfectly normal in appearance, but spend their time engaged in puzzling and disturbing behaviors which are markedly different from those of typical children. Less severe cases may be diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) or with Asperger's Syndrome (these children typically have normal speech, but they have many "autistic" social and behavioral problems).
A couple of blog-posts for you to check out concerning life with autism:
Back on March 18, I opened HidingPlace Beadery at 1000 Markets, a fairly new selling venue for handmade quality items. Not long after that I was contacted by Dini of Beadazzled of Oregon, and she inquired about my interest in starting a new beadweaver’s group on 1000 Markets. Dini’s enthusiasm is infectious! So within just a few days she and Rachele of Rachele’s Originals had organized a group of 8 people who have spent the last week, writing up our proposal, choosing our name and tag line, establishing our vision of the market we wanted to establish and deciding on a final banner graphic. I present the result:
Today, the proposal will be submitted for consideration by the 1000 Markets jury!! So, we’re hoping for the best, and in the meantime, I am thanking the Lord for getting acquainted with some TERRIFIC ladies! Stay tuned for the outcome for “THE BEADWEAVING EMPORIUM”!
A huge thanks to Dini and Rachele! God bless you!

I could get used to this: Get up on Sunday morning. Turn on the computer. Find something from my Etsy shop in a Treasury!! Yeah baby! Gotta love it! It will be receiving clicks (hint, hint!) until Tuesday, March 31, in the evening.
Debra makes some absolutely beautiful wearable art, and one of my personal favorites is the Blue Angel Necklace. Lovely isn’t it? Such a gorgeous stone, surrounded by the graceful woven seed beads.

I woke up to find my Honeysuckle Beadwoven Bracelet in this lovely treasury! It will be open for viewing (& clicking ;o)) until Monday around noon!

Finally, I have completed a new piece for my Etsy shop. I’ve had such a hard time lately getting things accomplished!
This bracelet features two lampwork beads made by Ginny Hampton Schmidt. I purchased these from her at the Fort Worth Bead Market last November. Ginny does beautiful work and has a shop on Etsy called Ginnovations . I could use a critique!
Yay! Christine of Chocolate and Steel loves to have a *.*.*.*GIVEAWAY*.*.*.* !!! She will announce the winner of a beautiful handcrafted silver ring with lovely yellow topaz stones on Friday, March 27! So… head on over there and leave her a comment! Or don’t. That way, maybe I’ll win, cause y’know my birthday is in November! ;->

Well, I love “firsts”! Today, I made my first sale on my Etsy shop! It was for the Shimmering Sapphire Earrings I listed a couple of weeks ago. Not a big sale, but I am pumped and fully expecting this to be enough to pull me out of my “downy dumps” about NO sales!! I am very grateful, and look forward to many more, perhaps in the not too distant future!!

Second, Shimmering Sapphire photos were better in my estimation. The earrings are sophisticated, yet feminine.
Last, but not least, Summer Strawberries look good enough to eat! Yum! These are Cherry Brand vintage strawberry beads from the late 40s, early 50s. I absolutely love vintage beads!
