Recent additions to HPB…

While it might look like I’m stuck on blue, well, maybe I am! Evidently it’s my favorite color! And there will be more to come, cause I’ve been beading, not listing. So, I have a little pile of things which I will be listing on Etsy and 1kM! Some are blue-and some are not… So come on back in a day or two and see…

These MIGHT be my favorites, cause I love love these crystals:

Just thinking, do you enjoy wearing ear threads, or do you prefer other types? I’d love to know how they rate in your book! See ya later!

The Beauty of Spring…

…is the current theme for the Artbeads bloggers. Very good for me, because Spring is my favorite time of the year. If I were at home in Texas, I’m sure I would be pruning, digging, planting, and enjoying the birds and new growth of my garden. But, here I am in Florida at my “home-away-from-home”. In the Keys this time of the year, thoughts turn to the beach, water sports, tall frosty drinks, palm trees and sea creatures. So, here is my creation using items sent to me for review by Artbeads.com:

I first saw similar porcelain beads in Beadwork magazine, and really wanted to check them out further. But then, along came this fabulous porcelain shell bead at Artbeads! My favorite bead place! How could I resist?? No need! And it truly is as beautiful in person as in the picture. The porcelain shell bead is suspended by a peyote woven bail, and ends with a Hill Tribe bead cap (with shell design, of course!) and a Swarovski coral pearl. The S-clasp is a Hill Tribe Silver Starfish. The necklace is a spiral seed bead rope of various colors found in the pendant, mainly blues and greens.

Since I did not use all the bead caps I received for the necklace, I used them for a springy little pair of earrings, and I must say, they are pretty sweet!

Disclosure: As a participant in the blogging program, I very much enjoyed reviewing the items from Artbeads.com, and they were sent free of charge to me. I have been honest in my personal opinion of the products, and I am not being compensated for my endorsement as it pertains to the components reviewed.
